A New Way for Audiences to Find Your Podcast

There is a multitude of directories available on the web to catalogue podcasts and make them searchable and easy for your audience to find such as Podcast Pickle, Podcast Alley and Odeo which, incidentally is now up for sale.

However, searching for podcasts on particular subjects as become even easier thanks to a new podcast search engine called Blabline powered by  none other than the Google co-op.

Blabline is produced by Swedish based NC Media and was created by a guy called Anders Lindman.

Similar to the directories as we know them, podcast authors can impact upon the search engines results by adding their sites and URL’s containing podcasts, although this isnt necessarily a requirement to be listed.

Many will find Blabline similar to the existing Podcast Search and this is of no coincidence, since they are both powered by Google. As we reported earlier last week, Google is expected to make further moves into capitalising on available opportunities within online media like audio and video podcasts. Along with the imminent launch of Google Audio ads this is yet more evidence that podcasting is affecting even the biggest internet organisations in a big way.
