Podcast Voices Creates New Baby and Toddler Audio Series for Parenting Website Bounty.com and Sponsor Huggies.

Parenting website Bounty appointed commercial audio and video podcast specialist Podcast Voices to create a second and third ‘evergreen’ series, providing a thirty-two part parenting guide.

The series, sponsored by Huggies, aims to educate new parents with answers to common baby and toddler questions. Revolutions in Audio and Video Advertising Online

Along with Google’s recent movements into audio and video versions of their adwords, Kiptronic have also announced their new product poised to make the inclusion of ads on video podcasts easier.

Google recently announced that its audio and radio ads system will now be avialable as a soft test on most of its users adwords accounts. It allows Google advertisers to pay for radio advertising on a CPM basis with the adverts appearing on radio stations recorded by professional voice actors.

Social Networking and Podcasting Grow Closer Together

One of the most useful tools in Podcasting, Feedburner (recently purchased by Google) has introduced a new Headline Animator system to enable the latest updates from Feedburner users to appear as animated headlines to the millions of Facebook Users worldwide. The headlines will include feed update and additions from blogs, podcasts, vodcasts and any other feed that is registered through Feedburner.

Similar to MySpace, Facebook is a social utility network, extremely popular with University and College students that allows users to keep in touch with their friends and new people that they choose to “add”.

Its not often that I allow myself some shameless plugging on this blog, but with our new service that we call “Pocket Events”, I just couldn’t help it and there’s a good reason:

Organising a conference, seminar exhibition or any kind of event can take a lot of effort, whether it’s a full blown Expo or a round table discussion over drinks with experts in a chosen field.  Going to the trouble of getting speakers together and making the most of the content can be quite a challenge!

Youth Market Leads the Way for New Ways of Watching Television

The youth market is leading the way in the use of devices other than TV for watching videos. Not of great surprise, too many of us Im sure, we’ve all seen the teenagers glued to their iPods, mobile phones and laptops on trains and buses. What is interesting is the percentage of this age range of 13 – 34 year olds that are using this technology to change their viewing habits.According to the soon to be released study by E-Poll entitled  “Multi-Platform Viewing of Video Content,” 26% of young people prefer to watch video content on their portable devices over standard television.The sheer availability of choice when it comes to online and portable video, coupled with the popularity of user generated content is seen to be driving this growth:

There is a multitude of directories available on the web to catalogue podcasts and make them searchable and easy for your audience to find such as Podcast Pickle, Podcast Alley and Odeo which, incidentally is now up for sale.

However, searching for podcasts on particular subjects as become even easier thanks to a new podcast search engine called Blabline powered by  none other than the Google co-op.

Advertising on Podcasts To Reach $400 Million By 2011

A new report to be released in eMarketer this week has found that spending on advertising in podcasts will quintuple over the next five years from the current estimate of a $80 million base during 2006 to create a $400 million market in 2011.
So where is the growth expected to come from? Well, eMarketer’s analyst James Belcher has predicted that much of that growth will come from Google.

You Tube Users Are Watching Less Television

Harris Interactive have released a new poll gauging the online viewing habits of American adults. The survey was completed by 2,309 online Americans for Harris Interactive in December 2006. They found that nearly 16% of those surveyed were regular YouTube users and of these one in three stated that they are actually watching less traditional television because of the time they spend on YouTube.

The survey also found that 42% of the surveyed American adults had watched an online video at YouTube and that 14% would consider themselves regular users.
