Project Description

We have worked extensively with Clarion Events to help them harness the power of podcasting to promote their events. By producing podcasts in the lead up to the event we have given visitors a sneak preview of what to expect, built online communities around their events online helping to generate buzz.

The podcasts have proved a resounding success, They regulary attract large audiences and boost tickets sales by generating response rates to marketing carrying the podcast of up to 30%. In additition to these benefits the podcasts have proved to be a revenue stream through sponsorship and have offered exhibitors and sponsors added value. The podcasts regulary make the front page on the iTunes Music Store further helping to increase reach.

We trialled podcasting last year to engage with show fans and had an incredible response. Our podcasts are content-rich and entertaining rather than trying to directly sell tickets. One email we sent out prior to the show with a podcast link last year received a 30% response rate – all those who responded bought tickets. The podcast series is fundamental to our campaign in the run up to the MPH featuring Top Gear Live show.

Podcasts were a new marketing initiative for MPH this year. Podcast Voices hand-held us through the creative and technical process and produced a series of episodes that we and our sponsors were delighted with.
