Project Description

Family advice company Bounty appointed Podcast Voices to create a series of podcasts to convey the content from their existing advice booklets online. We worked with their copy writers and experts to produce an ‘evergreen’ series, providing a seventy four part parenting guide split into 3 series. The first series dealt with pregnant mum’s with the and each episode represented each week of a 9 month pregnancy, offering advice from symptoms to employer law and planning for birth. The following two series dealt with new born babies and toddler years.
All three series are sponsored by Huggie’s who have found the podcasts a new and innovative way to team up with Bounty and communicate their brand to audiences online. Bounty are one of our many clients who have proven that podcasts can not only provide added value for sponsors and advertisers but can provide an extra revenue stream for publishers.
The ultimate aim is to provide a consecutive series of podcasts designed to appeal to millions of new parents for years to come. They will encourage regular return visits from growing families and couples who are planning to have children and although the podcasts aren’t released regularly, they are often revisited by us to ensure all medical advice and content is up to date with current thinking.
Bounty was created over forty years ago and now offers a range of interactive parenting channels to more than three million members.

Our Solution

The original pregnancy guide Podcast Voices created for Bounty attracted a huge audience; there was an obvious demand for Bounty’s valuable content in multi-media formats. The success of the first series encouraged Bounty to commission a consecutive second and third. The really exciting thing about this project is that unlike a great deal of podcasts, we have created shows that in most cases won’t go out of date. Developments in medical science will allow the podcast content to develop, but essentially they will remain the same.

We chose a new mother as the voiceover of the series, alongside a specially written soundtrack of calming music to engage with the target audience.

Client Feedback

The introduction of Podcasts on the Bounty.com site has enabled us to not only offer our existing audience more ways to consume our content, but has helped us reach more people and attract additional sponsorship revenue,” said Andrew Thomas, E-Business Director at Bounty.
